Release Notes - macOS 13.0.0 Update

Supported platforms

The following macOS versions have been tested and are officially supported. Other versions may also work but have not undergone a full QA cycle.

• macOS 26 Tahoe
• macOS 15 Sequoia

New functionalities and changes

• Added support for macOS 26 Tahoe.
• On macOS 26 and later, LAN Crypt now requires explicit authorization to access network shares.
• Added support for opening and updating existing files encrypted with the new CBC-uIV encryption mode. Files created by LAN Crypt macOS clients continue to use XTS or CBC encryption modes.
• Installations on newer macOS versions are no longer blocked.

Bug fixes

• Fixed an issue where mounted SMB shares were displayed multiple times.
• Fixed an issue where a mounted SMB share was not displayed if it contained an umlaut.

Support

Tickets opened in the old support portal at support.conpal.de are now redirected to the new Utimaco Support Portal at support.hsm.utimaco.com/support. Registered customers with active maintenance contracts have access to downloads, documentation, and knowledge base articles.
